Simon Collins has joined Archimedes Pharma as UK Country Manager. Reporting directly to Archimedes ceo Richard de Souza, Collins will be responsible for continuing the development and growth of Archimedes' UK commercial organisation.
The firm's current portfolio of specialty products includes Gliadel, localized chemotherapy for high grade glioma, Zomorph, a leading morphine product for cancer pain, Nozinan, an anti-emetic for cancer patients, and Pabrinex, a high potency formulation of vitamins B and C for acute alcohol withdrawal.
Simon has more than 14 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, most recently as business unit director and executive committee member for sanofi-aventis in the UK, and has also managed the UK launch of two major blockbuster products, Aprovel/Avapro and Plavix.
