Portsmouth-based packaging manufacturer Cope Allman has achieved PS9000:2001, the application standard for pharmaceutical packaging materials.
PS9000 was selected as the most appropriate to the company's primary growth markets of pharmaceuticals and healthcare, as well as being the optimum standard to cover the quality requirements of all its market sectors.
'Relating to primary contact packaging for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, PS9000 is a stringent standard which in some areas exceeds the requirements of our food, beverage and other customers,' said managing director John Sidnell.
'Success in achieving accreditation demonstrates our capability to reduce our customers' supply chain and quality acceptance costs. It will allow our customers to see us as an extension of their own operations.'
