The 9th Annual World Congress: Drug Discovery Technology 2004 at the Hynes Convention Center will be held in Boston, Massachusetts from August 8 - 13.

As in past years, the event will feature in-depth symposia focusing on drug discovery & development and industry business practices.

This year's symposia have been expanded from three symposia to five, and will be running with Drug Discovery Technology's exhibition hall which has over 400 booths and 160 industry speakers.

Each symposium will cover the latest topics in drug discovery:

Advances in Drug Discovery Symposium will cover proven scientific strategies and promising techniques that will accelerate drug discovery efforts to expand the drug pipeline.

Discovery to Clinic Symposium will present a look at the innovative strategies and technologies that are being employed for improving success rates as compounds transition from the discovery phase to early clinical development.

Advances in Biotherapeutic Discovery Symposium will cover the opportunities that exist in the biotherapeutic market and the scientific research advances that are driving the discovery of these new, promising protein therapeutics.

Business Strategy & Partnering Symposium will provide case studies about alliances and partnering agreements in efforts to raise production and revenue.

Discovery Informatics Symposium will present strategies that companies are successfully employing to integrate biological, chemistry and other information at the scientific level.

In addition to the extensive programming, Drug Discovery Technology will cover the latest advances in new technology. There will be more than 400 booths in the exhibit hall that will showcase the latest products and services. In addition, more than 90 companies have indicated that they will be launching a new product at this year's event. Technology workshops, product demonstrations and panel discussions will also offer attendees the opportunity to learn about the new technology in drug discovery.

'Drug Discovery Technology World Congress has provided a comprehensive mix of content to all individuals involved in the drug discovery process for the past nine years,' said Kirstie Miller, president, IBC USA Conferences. 'Attendees have had the opportunity to benefit from all this event has to offer - up-to-date information, extensive network opportunities and the chance to learn about new technology.'
