DIA appoints director at DIA India
Kaushik Desai takes up the role
Desai brings to DIA a deep knowledge of the global regulatory framework and the pharmaceutical environment in India. He is a trained pharmacist with more than 25 years of experience in key management positions with multinational and domestic firms.
Through 2010, he worked as ceo and director of Global Pharmatech in Bangalore, where he was responsible for operations, business planning and development, and global quality requirements.
He currently serves as vice president of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) and chairman of the Industrial Pharmacy Division.
‘We are delighted to have someone of Kaushik Desai’s stature and experience to provide leadership to DIA India,’ said Paul Pomerantz, worldwide executive director of DIA Worldwide.
‘He will work closely with the Advisory Council of India to help address the many opportunities in this country.’
The DIA is headquartered in Horsham, PA, and Washington, DC, US, and has offices in Basel, Switzerland; Tokyo, Japan; Mumbai, India; and Beijing, China.
