ECHA proposes additional control on pharma purifier chemical
Because it can damage the environment
A chemical used to purify pharmaceuticals has been included in a draft list of new substances subject to special authorisation by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) for their manufacture or use in the European Union.
ECHA is consulting on adding ‘4-Nonylphenol, branched and linear, ethoxylated’, because it can damage the environment, as an endocrine disrupter.
