Engelhard and ChiroTech join forces

A tethered non-chiral catalyst is the focus for a joint venture between Ascot Fine Chemicals' ChiroTech business and Engelhard. Based on an achiral ruthenium(I) complex, the catalyst wil be used for hydrogenation of sulphur-containing aldehydes, ketones and olefins in the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries .
