Engelhard makes it easy to find the right solution

Since base-metal and precious-metal catalysts are expensive, Engelhard has developed its Technology Selector tool. This database allows customers to investigate various reaction pathways including hydrogenation, hydrogenolysis, C-N coupling, C-C coupling and decarbonylation. Take hydrogenation as an example: clicking on the link reveals a chart on which the customer matches the functional group to be hydrogenated with the functional group not to be hydrogenated. Once a match has been determined, clicking on the button where these two groups intersect reveals the suggested Engelhard products and reaction conditions that will bring about the hydrogenation.

Engelhard has also introduced new technology that enables pharmaceutical and fine chemical manufacturers to cost-effectively bring purer chemical compounds to market faster. Engelhard Metals Scavenging Agents (MSAs) enable manufacturers to easily remove a variety of metals under severe process conditions more economically than traditional separation techniques.
