ERT appoints Joel Morganroth as interim ceo

Michael McKelvey has retired

Following the retirement of its president and ceo Michael McKelvey, ERT has elected Joel Morganroth, currently the firm’s chairman and chief scientific officer, as president and ceo until a permanent ceo is hired.

Morganroth has been chairman of ERT since 1999 and chief scientific officer since April 2006. He was the US technology and services provider’s chief executive 1993 to March 2001 and has been a consultant for the firm since 1977.

Morganroth is also a cardiologist and clinical researcher and has had more than 10 years' experience as a medical review officer/expert for the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

‘In my expanded role, I will continue to leverage my experience and knowledge of the organisation and domain expertise to strengthen our position in clinical research associated with cardiac safety, respiratory and electronic Patient Reported Outcomes (ePRO),’ said Morganroth.

‘We will continue our goal of enhanced growth through the exciting development of adjacent markets.’
