Farris trails fugitive emissions
Farris is introducing the PCM modulating pilot control for its Series 3800 pilot-operated pressure relief valve. The PCM is designed to reduce product loss and fugitive emissions.
The non-flowing PCM modulating pilot control opens in proportion to the overpressure to minimise emissions and product loss, as well as reducing noise. It also reduces water hammer that can cause stress in piping systems. The set pressure range is between 15 and 1480psig. Typical blowdown is 3-6% with a minimum of 3psi. The standard PCM is all stainless steel and can be easily converted to NACE compliant materials for sour gas.
