Flamma expansion progresses in China

Italian manufacturer of APIs and related intermediates, Flamma, has announced further expansion in China.

The company already has a jv manufacturing plant in GongAn (Hubei province), and a fully owned subsidiary, Shanghai Flamma Bioscience Co Ltd, devoted to r&d in Shanghai.

By the end of 2008, the Shanghai company will have moved to Dalian, located on the southern tip of Liaodong peninsula. As a result, the business will be renamed Dalian Flamma Bioscience Co Ltd and will occupy two storey facility in the brand new premises of the Dalian DD Port Bio & Pharmaceutical Industry park.

The expanded business will have two kilolab suites equipped with four 50 litre reactor vessels and will be run by 20 employees.

With this investment, the Flamma group plans to further strengthen the "bridge" created between the Western activities and the growing Asian economies.
