Littlehampton, UK-based Pump Engineering (PE) has launched a range of magnetic drive pumps, available in three types of hydraulic configuration: centrifugal, regenerative turbine and sliding vane.

The 3M Mag-drive pumps are sealess, ensuring less leaks and emissions and therefore increasing safety. Many of the pumps and spares are directly interchangeable with Caster pumps.

Different hydraulic configurations enhance the flexibility of the new pumps, PE says. A centrifugal fitting with closed impeller for liquids transfer provides flows of up to 1000m³/hr and heads up to 1300 metres, a regenerative turbine achieves smooth low and medium flows of 10m³/hr, and sliding vane pumps for injection applications provide flows up to 3000 litres/hr and pressures up to 13 bar.

Pharma applications include pumping low viscosity surfactants, acids and CIP chemicals, and the 3M pumps can handle liquids at temperatures from 150ºC to over 450ºC, with API and stainless steel versions available.
