Flexicon gives automatic emptying

Flexicon has developed a combination discharge/dumping station called the BFF Combi-Hood bulk bag discharger. A multi-purpose hopper interface allows automatic discharging from bulk bags, as well as manual emptying from sacks, drums and other containers.

A one-tonne FIBC can be positioned in the bulk bag frame above the receiving hopper using a fork lift truck. The FIBC spout is tugged through an iris valve, which is then closed, allowing the bag tie to be released without spillage. The notched lever of the valve gives instant control over the rate at which the material is allowed to discharge into the hopper, minimising dust emissions.

For manual dumping, the operator simply raises the hinged door and pours material through a coarse screen into the hopper. When equipped with optional dust collector, the unit prevents contamination of the product and the plant.
