Foundation for improvement of living and working conditions launches biomedicine study

A detailed study into the health of Europe's biomedical healthcare sector has been ordered by a key EU agency, to identify strategies to boost investment and supplies of qualified personnel.


A detailed study into the health of Europe's biomedical healthcare sector has been ordered by a key EU agency, to identify strategies to boost investment and supplies of qualified personnel.

The European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions has also engaged the Danish Technological Institute to map current and future challenges the sector is facing.

The foundation's director Jorma Karppinen said: 'This study is aimed at ensuring that company strategies, competences of the employees, and the regulatory framework meet future challenges.'

The institute and foundation will develop potential future scenarios for the sector, with study results being published from March to May.
