Freeze dryers are hot stuff

The versatile, compact VirTis Benchtop K (BTK) series freeze dryers are being offered by Biopharma Process Systems, the VirTis representative in the UK and Ireland. Designed to sit on a lab bench or small cart, they can handle bulk, vial or flask drying and offer a wide range of optional condenser temperatures from -55oC to -105oC. Condenser capacities from 2-5 litres in 24 hours are available, and the units are particularly suitable for solvent work.

A patented two-position shelf allows both freezing and freeze drying in the condenser chamber. Vacuum control for faster freeze-drying is included as standard, as is an integrated hot gas defrost function for fast turnaround, eliminating the need for hot water.
