ICSE 2010 to feature two new Zones: Contract Research and Packaging

Visitors will have ‘more talking, less walking’ time

From October 5-7 this, year, Paris will play host to Europe’s largest pharma contract services event, ICSE, which, along with P-MEC for pharmaceutical equipment, machinery and technology; CPhI Worldwide for pharmaceutical ingredients and BioPh for biopharma, will be co-located at Paris-Nord Villepinte.

Representing all sectors and major disciplines of the pharmaceutical industry, ICSE is the must-attend networking event for any business or individual in the contract services sector.

Launched in 2001, ICSE provides an international platform for companies involved in an array of outsourcing services, including packaging, clinical trials, contract research, biotechnology, logistics and analytical services, bringing together buyers and specifiers from more than 125 countries. With a focus on innovation and new developments, each ICSE event is designed to fulfil its role as a meeting place and intermediary to the highest level.

For the 2010 event, ICSE will introduce two new zones, focused specifically on Packaging and Contract Research, in the addition to the already existing Clinical Trial Zone, New Exhibitor Zone and the General floor. The zoning system is designed to make it easier for visitors to find the exhibitors they’re looking for by giving more logical on-site navigation and leaving visitors with ‘more talking, less walking’ time.

The Contract Research zone will replace the previous Clinical Trials zone, as it will cover not only clinical trials, but also preclinical, Phase I-IV clinical trials and contract research companies, while the Packaging Zone will feature a wide range of companies that provide packaging solutions within various stages of pharmaceutical processing.

Since its inaugural event, ICSE exhibitor numbers have increased dramatically from 14 to 287, reflecting the growing importance of the pharma contract services sector. ICSE Europe has grown in size and stature to become the ‘must attend’ meeting that provides unrivalled access to the global pharma outsourcing community.

Following its success at last year’s event, the co-hosted CPhI, ICSE, P-MEC and BioPh Europe exhibition will once again be supplemented by a full schedule of additional events. The pre-show, multi-track seminar series will return in Paris, having attracted more than 350 delegates in 2009, as do the popular breakfast briefings series and ICSE ‘Speakers Corner.’ In addition, the CPhI Innovation Awards and Green Awards will once again be held during the European show. Full details about the 2010 events will be posted on the website over the next few months.
