IMA - new name reflects changing emphasis

The 'Aseptic Processing & Filling Division' is the new name for the Liquids & Powder Filling Division of IMA SpA and it is felt that the change will help to characterise the activities and products of the division, which in recent years has seen the emphasis move towards aseptic lines.

The incorporation of Aseptic Processing into the name of the division reflects the fact that IMA has now become one of the world's top three suppliers of aseptic processing and packaging lines. This has been achieved through an ongoing r&d programme and the progressive integration of Libra decontamination, sterilising, labelling and tray loading equipment into the division's range.

The supply of equipment for non-sterile pharmaceutical and other filling applications is also a growth area for IMA, with the introduction of several new models in recent months, and the division will continue to handle this range of machinery.
