IMA shows a leading line-up

IMA, a leading manufacturer of automatic machines for the packaging of pharmaceutical products will be presenting a series of new machines and complete lines.

The IMA Solid Dose Division will show the new GHIBLI 100, a flexible fluid bed dryer, in which three different product containers can be fitted: top spray, bottom spray and tangential spray. This allows different technical solutions to be applied, according to the product to be processed and the process to be performed.

The highly innovative IMA IMATIC 150 continuous motion capsule filling machine, capable of speeds of 150,000 capsules/h, will be exhibited in line with the new version of the checkweighing machine IMA PRECISA 16. Designed and constructed for weight control and selection of pharmaceutical products in hard gelatine capsules and tablets, PRECISA has a weight control up to 160,000 capsules/h, a 100% printout of production report, a rapid size changeover and a feed channel clearance system.

On show for the first time from the IMA Blister Division is the new IMA C96-A96, a high speed blister machine with integrated cartoner, reaching a production speed of 1200 blisters/min and 450 cartons/min. The company will also be showing the new blister packing machine WIN.PACK TR200, an economical two-row blister machine. Especially designed for small to medium production runs, it is also suitable for contract packers.

It features balcony construction, economical size parts with a wide range of possible blister dimensions, and the ability to handle a wide range of blister materials, including PP, aluminium, PVC, PVdC, Aclar and PET. The TR200 reaches a production speed of up to 320 blisters/min.

Precision Gears, IMA's subsidiary in India, has widened its range of blister packing machines with the new CLINIPACK, a compact, economical and flexible blister machine, suitable for clinical trials.

Also making its debut in the cartoning sector is the IMA A350, a high speed continuous motion cartoner with an output of up to 350 cartons/min. And completing the IMA line-up will be three new end of line machines from BFB: the BFB AC120, a high-speed wrapping machine; the BFB CARTOPALLET, a monobloc case-packing and palletising machine equipped with a 6 axle robot; and the BFB 3744 high speed top loading case-packing machine for the toiletries and pharmaceutical industries.
