Inprint's launches multi-layer label

Published: 1-Dec-2003

UK labelling company Inprint has introduced Inset, a single-leaflet parent label that contains a series of sub-leaflets. All the sub-leaflets within Inset contain identical information and can be removed from the parent label individually and transferred to another container or given to an end user.

Inset has been developed to meet new legislation that requires every dispensed drug to contain a Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) with the pack, which provides details of the medicine. This is a problem for many generic pharmaceutical companies that are producing larger bulk packs from which medicine is sub-dispensed, creating the risk that the drugs are not accompanied by a PIL. Inset is created from a single piece of paper to avoid the risk of collation errors.
