As part of its integrated export services solution for the Indian pharmaceutical sector, Netherlands-based KLM Cargo in alliance with European drugs distribution company OPG group has launched cargo services in the area of drug r&d.

This includes handling of biological and clinical samples for CROs, research labs and sponsor companies. Initially, the services will be provided between Indian and certain European destinations only, but may be extended later to Germany, the US, Japan and Italy.

With a network of 200 destinations in 80 European countries, KLM Cargo could provide on-time delivery in perfect condition and in full compliance with the complex transport regulations and increasingly strin-gent controls imposed by regulatory agencies. The joint venture between KLM and OPG Group would utilise the services of the key OPG Group players such as Red Swan Pharma Logistics and RegiLabs.
