The Penny Hydraulics Mezz Lift is a robust and versatile platform lift for handling all sorts of loads up to 300kg safely and efficiently between two floors in factories, warehouses and stores.
With more than a third of over-three-day injuries reported to the HSE and local authorities each year related to manual handling there is a real need for mechanical lifting assistance.
Ideally suited for handling loads between ground floor and mezzanine level, the Mezz Lift offers users a cost-effective way to comply with manual handling regulations and reduce the risk of injury to employees. The entire handling process can be undertaken by one person using the Mezz Lift without any manual lifting.
A compact design minimises the lift's footprint without restricting the available storage space and working area. It is available in a range of standard models with platforms up to 1100 x 1100mm, large enough for a standard Europallet, with maximum working load of 300kg at heights up to 4.0m. High lift and heavy-duty versions are also available to meet customers' specific requirements. Robust construction using steel components ensures the lift can be installed indoors or outdoors.
Self-contained hydraulic power provides smooth and precise operation with no need for a floor pit. The lift is supplied with its own motor pump unit and can be installed in any location where there is a standard 240V 13amp mains power supply. Models with a higher rating or powered by three-phase supply are also available. The lifting speed of 0.5m/s means that a 4m distance between the floor and mezzanine is covered in just eight seconds. A unique hold-to-run system promotes safety by stopping the lift whenever the control lever is released. Additional safety features include overload protection. Interlocked gates, which prevent entry to the working area while the lift is moving are available as an option.
Penny Hydraulics provides a complete design and installation service with a nationwide network of engineers to help customers comply with current legislation.
