Joins British Contract Manufacturers and Packers Association (BCMPA)

Multifry, a UK supplier of oils for pharmaceutical applications, is to further expand its contract packing operations.

The Hull-based firm has joined the BCMPA (British Contract Manufacturers and Packers Association) and is investing in additional equipment to develop its facilities and meet the requirements of a range of manufacturers and suppliers.

A family owned business established in 1975, Multifry offers storage, packing and blending services to the pharmaceutical, catering and food industries. It packs and supplies a variety of edible oils into containers from 20 litres to IBCs, as well as producing its own oil under the Supafry brand.

The company’s customers include AAK, ADM and Cargill. It has ISO 9001: 2008 certification and kosher accreditations and is Soil Association-approved.

‘We believe our extensive knowledge and experience of the oils market will be invaluable to many businesses, providing an efficient and reliable service tailored to their particular requirements,’ said Multifry director Paul Sims.

‘In particular, our location close to the docks in Hull helps to minimise bulk transport costs and enables companies to reduce the carbon footprint for their products.’
