Name change at labelling specialist Newman

Pharmaceutical labelling specialist, Newman Labelling Machines, has changed its name to Newman Labelling Systems. Explaining the reason for the change, managing director, John Clayton said, 'Newman will continue to provide labelling solutions for the pharmaceutical industry, but the new name reflects the growing importance of computerised control and security software within our products and all the necessary validation procedures that are becoming ever more rigorous.

Areas such as vision systems, reject stations, label web and container feeds are now integrated into a unified, software driven system rather than being separate components of a machine.'
