The Nanotechnology Knowledge Transfer Network (NanoKTN) is inviting UK nanotechnology companies to tell it what they are currently doing in nanotechnology and what their requirements are to ensure major growth within the sector over the next ten years.

NanoKTN would like to know where UK nanotechnology companies fit in the supply chain; what commercial/development products based on nanotechnology they have; and what resources are focused on nanotechnology based products.

It would also like information on any alliances and partnerships that exploit nanotechnology and what percentage of sales come from nanotechnology based products.

In addition, NanoKTN is trying to find out how companies have been involved in developing and selling products based on nanotechnology; what governmental funding they have had to support projects; and their views on where company and government nanotechnology funding should be focused over the next decade.

The information will be included in a report to be submitted to the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) to influence and help form the basis of a government strategy for nanotechnology. Respondents will not be named in the submission to the government.

"This invitation is a major opportunity for UK companies to provide positive information about the nanotechnology industry to the government," says the company.
