Nautilus launched for biotech applications

The Nautilus BioLIMS is a new laboratory information management system from Thermo LabSystems that was developed for genomics and proteomics uses.

The new system has advanced data management capabilities for techniques including cDNA library management, SNP scoring, sequencing, genotyping and sequencer integration.

It handles the filling of microtitre plates (96 wells) to micro-arrays (up to 82,944 spots). Different plate fill patterns can be defined using a graphical user interface and 'daughter' plates can be easily traced back to their parents.
