New research grade rheometer

Thermo Haake has developed a new research-grade rheometer, the RheoStress 600, which combines technical specifications and design features. These include:

• A powerful VC-motor, with a low inertia, a standard maximum torque of 200 mNm and the new Micro Stress Control plus, which extends the torque range down to 0.1 µNm;

• A Controlled Deformation mode for rotational as well as oscillatory measurements. Fast rheological processes can be accurately recorded;

• Fast Data Recording. With the 400Hz sampling rate of the RheoStress 600, the first data point is measured after 2.5ms. As a result the response times of visco-elastic substances can be characterised precisely;

• Modularity. The RS600 setup can be quickly adapted to suit a wide range of requirements thanks to its modular design with regard to temperature control and other options.
