New tip rack systems for multichannel pipettes

Anachem is introducing the StableRak and StableStak tip rack systems for pipetting. Using Rainin FinePoint, continuously tapering, thin-wall tips, with the additional option of aerosol resistant filters, the StableRak comes formatted as a double 96 tip rack, providing twice as many tips per rack on the bench space. The strong, flat tray resists bending or flexing, providing even tip loading across all channels in multipipettes. The wide base and non-skid polymer feet grip the bench for easy tip location and prevention of accidental tip overs.

The StableStak consists of five interlocking layers of double-96 racks (960 tips) stacked together. Removing each layer when empty of tips reveals the new layer. StableStak is said by the company to create 60% less plastic waste than 10 standard 96-place racks.

Both StableRak and StableStak are available with universal fit tips or the LTS (Light Touch) tips for use with Rainin LTS pipettes. All tips are RNase, DNase, DNA and pyrogen free and available in sizes from 20-300µl. There is also the option of Rainin's pre-sterilised tips.
