An innovative pharmaceutical labelling system using Ethernet technology was launched by London-based, Newman Labelling Systems. It uses a single high-capacity databus in place of a traditional wiring loom.

With an increasing number of sensor, control and security devices being incorporated into modern labelling systems, the high capacity cable databus acts like a ring main, allowing sensors and control devices to be connected at any point on the circuit.
