Highlights included a further development of the Needle-Trap needle protection system with detachable parts, multifunctional label solutions for injection aids and the Pharma-Comb SL Label with self-lifting label parts.
The Needle-Trap needle protection system can now be equipped with detachable label parts, which means that in addition to protecting against needlestick injuries, the label allows efficient and reliable documentation of administered injections as the individual parts can be attached directly to the patient’s medical records or vaccination cards, allowing medication to be tracked.
The multifunctional label solutions for pens and autoinjectors also increase user safety and are tailored to meet individual needs. Proof-of-first-opening (tamper evidence), for example, ensures that the autoinjector has not been used before and, in addition, prevents undetected re-closure. Anti-slip textures provide better grip and an integrated window allows inspection of the fill level.
The Pharma-Comb SL Label combines ease of handling and reliable marking. After opening the label, the label parts underneath automatically lift. Healthcare personnel can thus easily detach them even when wearing gloves to mark pre-filled disposable syringes. As all the key information is available on the detachable label parts traceability of the medication is guaranteed.
