Reading Scientific Services (RSSL) has appointed Katarzyna Szymaniec to lead its accredited pharmaceutical training business and align its strategic development with the diverse needs of professionals, working within the sector.
She will formally take over the position following a 3 month handover period with the incumbent Head of Training, Lyndsey Wright, who retires from the role in August.

Szymaniec joins RSSL from Lonza Biologics UK where she was training, development and compliance lead for the process development, analytical services and QC departments. Her 17-year career in the biopharma industry extends from commercial research, portfolio management and risk assessment, through to a more recent focus on managing, designing and conducting training activities to ensure GMP compliance.

Equally, I believe biopharma has significant potential for rapid growth and this will reveal an urgent need for specific skills and knowledge, so this is also a key target for our future training programmes,” commented Szymaniec.
