Telstar moves to higher capacity centre in the UK

The company has manufacturing plants in Spain, China and the United Kingdom and a workforce of 900 people

Telstar’s centre in the United Kingdom has expanded its production capacity with a move to premises in Birstall Leeds, a larger facility that will enable the company to almost triple its production capacity. The company is relocating from Shaw Cross Business Park, Dewsbury to premises on Dark Lane, Birstall, Leeds close to the M62 and M621 motorways.

Telstar’s centre in the United Kingdom has experienced growth in aseptic and containment Isolator requirements, particularly aseptic processing and filling line applications, throughout recent years. The facility offers a space adapted to the specific conditions and requirements for environmental quality, manufacturing and qualification of equipment for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and cell therapy industries.

It has a production plant for the manufacture of isolator systems, as well as two storey offices, modern meeting rooms, canteen, warehouse and loading bays. The facility will accommodate technical engineering, customer services and a dedicated sales team and admin support services.

The company, which invests 3% of its turnover in research, development and innovation of its technologies and equipment, operates in over a hundred countries and has four production plants, seven technology centres and 12 consultancy and engineering services centres, as well as commercial offices all over the world.
