Non-return valve is more hygienic

Published: 29-May-2001

The latest non-return valves from Dairy Pipe Lines are designed for hygienic applications. In developing the Exospring valves, the company has dispensed with the traditional spring assembly in the product flow. The L-port Exospring features an easy drain stainless steel spherical body, which can be mounted in several configurations and serviced without removal from the product line.

Typically, non-return valves have tended to rely on springs or gravity assistance to reset the seat, making them essentially non-hygienic. They are also subject to corrosion problems.

The Exospring is full flow and full bore with a profile design seat arrangement. It is also self-draining and can be used in the horizontal position.
