The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has released data on information technology that could help the pharmaceutical and other chemical industries speed their safety tests, saving money and avoiding the use of animals.

The computerised assistance includes ways of checking existing safety data, avoiding wasteful experiments.
