Peakdale Molecular in the UK and ChemPrintCo of California US, have jointly created AssayReady4U - an online service which allows small drug companies to order ready-to-screen assays from a high quality collection, in the format that they need.

The online based storefront allows drug discovery researchers to search, design and select compounds from a live physical collection of screening compounds. Then, using additional options, customers can build their final assay by selecting the exact amount and concentration required to perform their own unique experiments.

The final customer-selected compounds are dispensed into SBS standard well plates of the customer's choosing using ChemPrintCo's proprietary hydro-acoustic technologies.

Each plate is sealed in an argon environment and then vacuum-sealed in a moisture barrier bag and placed inside a temperature-controlled pack for shipment. Orders are shipped within 24 hours and on receipt, the customer adds an appropriate amount of solvent to reach the desired test concentration.

Glenn Killingworth, business development director at Peakdale said: "We have built this collaboration to reach the smaller drug-research groups who don't want to build assays to store, handle and plate compounds, but just want to receive ready-to-screen assays from a high quality collection, in exactly the format that they need to perform their drug discovery work."

ChemPrintCo is a specialist supplier of ready-to-use assays, while Peakdale's library has many novel, GPCR-targeted compounds.
