Organon Ireland chooses Kuehne + Nagel as logistics partner

Kuehne + Nagel Ireland has been awarded a contract to manage the global logistics requirements for health care company Organon Ireland. The agreement includes road, sea and air ambient/cool chain logistics services.


Kuehne + Nagel Ireland has been awarded a contract to manage the global logistics requirements for health care company Organon Ireland. The agreement includes road, sea and air ambient/cool chain logistics services.

The human health care business unit of Akzo Nobel, Organon develops, manufactures and markets a range of prescription medicines including products in the fields of gynecology, mental health, anesthesia, and fertility. One of its two global manufacturing sites is located on a 31-acre site near Swords Village, Co Dublin, employing approximately 600 people. The products manufactured there are packaged for export to over 50 countries.

The company has been looking to form a partnership with a logistics service provider that has global coverage. Kuehne + Nagel is one of the leading logistics companies with a strong market position in seafreight, airfreight and contract logistics businesses and was able to offer full visibility for all shipments globally, efficient transport solutions and a partnership approach.

Under the scope of the contract Kuehne + Nagel will manage the inbound transportation by road, sea and air to the Organon facility in Swords and outbound transportation by road, sea and air including temperature controlled/cold chain services to Organon's global customer base.
