OVDs increase ensure product pack integrity
To fight the growing problem of counterfeiting, many drug manufacturers are turning to optically variable devices (OVDs) to safeguard the integrity of their products. KURZ Transfer Products recently introduced Trustseal, a proprietary technology based on diffractive optics, to the US market.
Trustseal products offer levels of complexity and customisation to suit the manufacturer's requirements, and can incorporate covert and overt security features, including serial numbering, first-use indicators, hidden images, nanotext, partial demetallisation or machine verification. They are available as a hot-stamp foil, first opening guarantee label or seal cap.
'Now pharmaceutical manufacturers can employ the superior product protection and authentication they need, with minimal impact to the cost of their existing packaging,' said Oliver Moesgen, sales & marketing manager, security products, KURZ Transfer Products.
