Oystar expands capacity in India
Packaging machinery specialist to build production site in Pune, India
Hassia Packaging, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Oystar Group in India, is expanding its business in Pune, which will add 30 staff to the existing 70. The foundation stone for construction of the new building was laid earlier this month, with the actual move planned for 2011.
The expansion doubles Oystar’s capacity for management and production in India to 4,033m2.
‘In doing so we are also ensuring further successful growth on the Asian markets,’ said Christian Korte, president of the business unit dairy at Oystar.
Hassia Packaging manufactures packaging machines for the chemical and food industries. These include filling and sealing machines for filling and sealing preformed cups as well as plants with volumetric and load filling systems for filling products into pouches and bags, glass, cups and cans. The filling ranges are 25–50kg.
