German packaging machine manufacturer Oystar will present a new control panel at interpack 2011 in Hall 6, stand C80, that will be used on every Oystar machine from now on.
The panel standardises the operation of all the company’s machines through uniform hardware and software so that customers only have to learn one navigation concept. Panel operation is intuitive using a multi-touch system on widescreen displays (10 to 21in). Machine workflows and current messages are systematically displayed and easy to understand.
Oystar Hüttlin and Oystar Manesty have developed SOLIDLAB 1, which combines powder mixing, granulating and coating of pellets and tablets in a single machine.
The concept behind SOLIDLAB 1 is based on effective use of periphery, control and measurement data recording combined with intelligent integration of high-quality process modules.
The module for powder mixing consists of a square container with a filling volume of 2kg, which is eccentrically fixed in an open drum. With this mixing principle high mixing qualities can be obtained even for small batches. The fluidised bed is structured like a complete production plant and features even distribution of the supply air and toroidal material movement through the diskjet distributing tray. The fluidised bed module is available in two sizes so that batches from 0.05kg to 2kg can be processed.
In addition, SOLIDLAB 2, which processes batches from 0.5kg to 12kg, will be on show.
The new tube filling machine from Oystar IWK fills metal and plastic tubes with a diameter from 10 to 52mm and a length of 50 to 250mm. Filling volumes range from 1 to 300ml. Up to 110 tubes per minute can be manufactured.
The flexibility of the machines from Oystar IWK in the secondary sterile packaging segment will also be demonstrated on the SC 4 cartoning machine, which can be converted from handling a single dose to a hospital pack in about 10 minutes.
Oystar Hassia India will also be presenting a new twin bagger with auger filler. The 180 T packs two pouches in parallel on two separate rolls saving space and energy. Products in solid dosage forms as well as powders and liquid products can be filled. The machine is available as either an intermittently operating or continuously operating version.
Finally, Oystar has bundled its service offerings across all brands and will present the new Oystar Top Service concept at the show. This is based on the three ‘Top’ pillars of Technological improvements, Operations support and Productivity assistance.
