Particle analyser and automatic scale combo

Haver & Boecker, Germany and WS Tyler, of the US, have jointly developed a photo-optical real-time particle analyser combined with a fully automatic scale, which was presented for the first time at Achema. Haver & Boecker added the scale with a gross weighing range from 1g to 15000g to the photo-optical particle analyser from Haver CPA.

The result is an inline particle analyser that, apart from the different characteristic particle diameters, measures the corresponding weight, size and shape distribution.

Every particle from 100µm to 200mm and from 1g to 15000g is registered by this device. The scale needs less than 50 milliseconds for each weighing process. If necessary, all images can be stored as TIF files for future recalculations. Additionally, a sorting function is available.

The Haver CPA image analyser measures up to 40m pixels per second. By the means of image analysis up to 20,000 particles per second can be measured in the real-time mode.
