Particle analyser that improves control

The PharmaVision 830, a new particle size and shape analyser from Malvern instruments, provides accurate size and shape data from direct sample measurements of dry powders using automated imaging techniques. The system has been designed primarily to define key quality parameters for dry powders used in formulations. It is likely to prove especially helpful in understanding and controlling pharma blends, and in the optimisation and control of processing. A full validation package, including life cycle documentation, is available.

The particle size analyser can characterise particles as small as 0.5mm and will analyse around 20,000 particles in less than 15min. Results are presented as morphological distributions in real time on the screen and as printouts.
