PCI Pharma Services announced Laura Zurlinden has accepted the role of Director of Business Development for West Coast Commercial Packaging.
Zurlinden joins PCI with more than two decades of successful industry experience. She will be responsible for developing opportunities and building sales to ensure continued growth and success for PCI in this expanding key market.
Zurlinden is an experienced Sales and Business Development professional with more than 20 years in the outsourced pharmaceutical services market, including commercial contract packaging, clinical trial services, as well as packaging material supply for the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.
Prior to joining PCI, Zurlinden held a number of business development roles in the industry at leading service providers.
Phil DiGiacomo, PCI’s Senior VP of Sales and Marketing, said: “We are very excited to have Laura join the PCI team. She brings a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge to our organisation and will be invaluable as a leader in the West Coast territory.”
“Laura offers a significant depth of technical knowledge both in clinical development and successful commercialisation that will truly benefit our clients as they look to develop life-saving medicines for patients around the world.”
Zurlinden said: “I am excited to join PCI Pharma Services and apply my experiences to my new position. I value the opportunity to work with clients in the development and commercialisation of new medicines. I am looking forward to helping clients create optimal packaging solutions and realise successful commercialisation of their innovative new therapies.”
Zurlinden is replacing Steve Tooker in her new appointment at PCI, who is assuming the role of EU VP of Sales for commercial packaging. Account Executives Chris Riggio, Southern California and Tina Leung, Northern California, Pacific NW, will be reporting to Zurlinden.
Zurlinden joins PCI at a time of significant investment in its commercial packaging business. Capacity expansions of its leading packaging equipment include multiple new bottling line installations, as well as significant expansion of its global capacity in industry leading serialisation and anti-counterfeiting technologies.
PCI has also recently acquired pharmaceutical and healthcare packaging services provider Millmount Healthcare, located in the European Union, adding four Dublin based facilities to its global supply network.
