A leading UK provider of outsourced pharmaceutical services has strengthened its clinical trial supply team with the appointment of two new senior appointments.
Dr Sue Price has joined the 240-strong team at Penn Pharmaceutical Services as head of clinical trial supplies and brings with her experience of working with major pharmaceutical companies including Sanofi-Winthrop and Brecon Pharmaceuticals. Joining her as CTS project manager is Pedro Pala, who formerly worked at Simbec Research.
"Last year was a strong year for Penn, the business grew by nearly 40% which meant that we had to recruit more highly skilled pharmaceutical professionals, said Paul Thomas, pharmaceutical services director. "All departments within Penn witnessed high levels of growth, the new appointments of Dr Price and Pedro are as a result of such success. Penn has also recently introduced a number of new business initiatives which include a high containment facility for the production of highly potent drugs and increasing our temperature controlled facilities seven fold with the opening of our 75,000 square feet storage and distribution facility to further support our Clinical Trial Supply (CTS) and Storage and Distribution services."
