Chris Cole has been named as the new sales director of UK-based Enbloc, a leader in design, build, test and commissioning of cleanrooms. Cole has 18 years' experience operating in the cleanroom industry and has previously worked for specialist cleanroom product suppliers and turnkey contractors.

Agilent Technologies has appointed Ludwig Huberas Compliance Fellow for its Life Sciences and Chemical Analysis business. In this newly created role, Huber will focus on identifying and evaluating compliance-related initiatives with the most potential to benefit customers. Huber will be responsible for extending Agilent's position as a leading provider of compliance solutions that help pharmaceutical laboratories to meet regulatory requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Evotec OAI has announced the appointment of Bernard Questier as chief business officer with effect from 6 October. Based in the company's headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, he will lead Evotec OAI's business development functions as a member of the Management Board. Questier joins Evotec OAI from Ventana Medical Systems, where he was responsible for most of the company's business outside the US.

Genotyping services company DxS, of Manchester in the UK, has expanded its business development team with the appointment of Dr Hans Vanhooren as European business development manager. Dr Vanhooren joins DxS from Covance Inc. where he was account executive within clinical and periapproval services in Europe.

Avantium Technologies has appointed Alan Lahaise as senior vice president of business development within its life sciences division. He joins the company from Quintiles Pharmaceutical Science, where he was business development director.

Malvern Instruments has appointed Carl Cromptonas sales and marketing manager for its Vision System range, following its recent acquisition of the technology and manufacturing rights for the PharmaVision 830, a move that has added imaging and image analysis to Malvern Instruments' core technologies. Crompton has just completed an MBA at INSEAD in France, prior to which he was contracts manager at Mikron Technology Group.

Buckton Scott has appointed Khalil Sharif as pharmaceutical sales manager. He will work with John Gordon in expanding pharmaceutical and intermediate business
