Argenta Discovery has named Drs Neil Harris and Hazel Hunt as directors of chemistry. Dr Harris was previously head of medicinal chemistry at Argenta, while Dr Hunt joins from Celltech. They will take responsibility for all chemistry projects within Argenta.

Evotec OAI has made several key management appointments. Dr John Kemp joins from Roche to become ceo of Hamburg-based Evotec Neurosciences with responsibility for discovery programmes (CNS). Sean Marett has been appointed chief business officer, and chief operating officer Dr Mario Polywka is leaving to take up another senior role in the industry. In addition, the company is creating a new position, president of discovery services, to lead its chemistry services operations in Abingdon in and the biology services operations in Hamburg.
Dr Mark Payton has joined biotechnology company Oxagen as its ceo designate, and will also take on the role of chief scientific officer. Dr Trevor Nicholls, the current ceo and a founder of the company, is to leave later this year to pursue another opportunity overseas. Dr Mark Edwards, also a founder and current CSO is assuming the role of chief technology officer within Oxagen.
