Printing outside the box from Linx

Linx Printing Technologies launched the impulse jet printer, the Linx IJ600, which was shown along side the Linx 6800 Spectrum, and demonstrated the benefits of its new Ultima Plus print head.

Linx recently entered the outer case coding market with the introduction of the IJ600, which combined high performance and reliability with a low cost of ownership.

The new IJ600 features a robust self-cleaning print head and IP65 rated stainless steel enclosure. It is capable of prining large characters, images and barcodes up to 70mm high onto multi-wall paper sacks, cardboard, wood or any other porous surfaces.

The quality of print also allows variable data to be printed on to generic packaging, thereby replacing costly pre-printed bags or boxes.

Linx has introduced a new print head for the Spectrum - the Ultima plus. The key benefit is that it enables the Spectrum to achieve quality print at very high speeds, in excess of 7m/s, using pigmented inks. The print head nozzle is optimised for such inks, reducing the risk of blockage.
