Pumpheads prolong tube life
The new 520RC pumphead from Watson-Marlow Bredel's industrial range of processing pumps has flow rates up to 4.6l/min.
The pumphead is designed to pump hazardous or expensive fluids in industrial processes where even slight inaccuracies can be costly or pose a risk to the environment. The pumphead's main construction material is PPS (polyphenylene sulfide), providing a combination of dimensional stability, impact and chemical resistance. Increased track diameter and large occlusion rollers, which reduce tube stress and help prolong tube life by up to 20%, are also fitted.
Also on display at the PPMA show was the new 700 series peristaltic pump with LoadSure technology. LoadSure elements are supplied with ready-to-fit industrial cam and groove connectors. The tubing elements aid changeover by ensuring that the tube is correctly positioned and tensioned over its whole life, removing the need for periodic adjustment.
As well as reducing processing time, optimum tube tension contributes to significant extension of tube and service life. Finally, to fulfil higher flow applications, the 800 series hygienic pumps are available with full clean-in-place and steam-in-place capability. They are ideal for large volume processing applications up to 8,000l/h.
