Revolution in tablet testing
Designed to measure tablet weight, thickness, diameter and hardness, the fully automatic 10X from Dr Schleuinger Pharmatron is dust and waterproof.
Designed to measure tablet weight, thickness, diameter and hardness, the fully automatic 10X from Dr Schleuinger Pharmatron is dust and waterproof.
This industry-led concept provides an ideal solution for the demanding applications in the automation of processes, and offers:
• water resistance for fast, easy and problem free cleaning
all contact parts made from stainless steel 316L - protected up to IP65
links to a tablet press via a serial interface / DIN Measurement Bus or Ethernet
programmable paddle for automatic orientation of tablets, regardless of shape
The 10X automatically measures the tablet weight, thickness, diameter and hardness for a large range of tablet shapes, and the costs of quality and in-process testing can be reduced through the integration of a 10X testing unit.
Some advantages of using the system include immediate feedback and automatic adjustment to the tablet press, which eradicates the necessity of manual tablet testing. The 10X can automatically test tablets from the press at a preset time interval all day, every day, no operator is required.
Dr Schleuniger Pharmatron is also offering pharmaceutical companies a fully automatic tablet thickness and disintegration time tester. The system, launched at Achema, is easy to handle with a common database for both, the disintegration tester and the tablet tester for weight, thickness, diameter and hardness. It offers:
fully automatic acquisition of tablet thickness and disintegration time plus data evaluation with 21 CFR Part 11 compliant software
new, contact and cable free signal acquisition provides corrosion and wear resistance
easy handling and problem free cleaning of the sealed baskets
a combination of disintegration tester and tablet tester through a common data base
no wet hands, due to magnetic basket remover tool
With every basket upstroke the dissolution measurement results are acquired then stored by the software and displayed graphically. Corrosion problems are eliminated due to the sealed baskets, and Dr Schleuniger guarantees the DISI is 'corrosion free'. It is said to be very easy to clean and the baskets may be washed, even in a dish washer.
Each basket has its own driving mechanism, and can therefore be tested individually. The baskets are equipped with a sensor enabling continuous control of the bath temperature, and can be disassembled within seconds for cleaning.
