Rexam boosts containers and closures capacity

Global packaging company Rexam has increased its worldwide closures and containers capacity with a US$30.0m (€30.5m) state-of-the-art 190,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Kentucky, US. The new manufacturing facility, part of the Rexam Closures & Containers division, is among the most advanced injection moulding plants in the world, with fully automated production lines and use of white room technology to guarantee adherence to the highest cleanliness and sanitation guidelines, according to Clas Nilstoft, division director.

A full line of packaging products, including closures, fitments, dispensing closures, containers and pumps, are being manufactured at the new facility. Rexam Closures & Containers holds hundreds of basic patents in the packaging field and designs and manufactures stock and custom closure systems including child-resistant, dispensing, tamper-evident and standard continuous thread closures.
