Rheometers complement Bohlin range

Following the acquisition of the Rosand rheology product line, Bohlin can offer the Flowmaster series of advanced Capillary Extrusion Rheometers alongside its existing range of rotational rheometers.

The Rosand Flowmaster RH7-2 incorporates a drive system with a 100kN capability, high viscosity and filled materials can be characterised accurately up to shear rates of 106/s.

Using dedicated Rosand software, measurement data can be expressed in terms of both the shear and the extensional viscosity, allowing simulations of the 'real' processing conditions.

The measurement principle is based on the proven twin bore barrel system that uses a zero length die, while Bagley correction can be used to provide meaningful data that can be used to interpret complex flow and extrusion properties.
