Russell Finex deblinder improves powder production efficiency
Eli Lilly aims to improve process efficiency in the production of pharmaceutical powders at its Basingstoke plant with the installation of a high-performance vibratory sieve fitted with a Vibrasonic 2000 mesh deblinding system from Russell Finex.
Russell's Europa 900 sieve and Vibrasonic 2000 system are screening pharmaceutical powders to the required size. The enclosed nature of the sieve ensures that product containment is not compromised. Built from stainless steel, the Vibrasonic 2000 mesh deblinding system ensures consistently high throughputs.
Screening efficiency is achieved using an acoustically developed transducer, the Probe, to apply an ultrasonic frequency direct to the mesh. This breaks down the surface tension and eliminates blinding and static.
