Safety guidelines approved

A set of guidelines for the safe operation of the entire pharmaceutical industry has been approved by the council of Europe. This pan-European political body is entirely independent from the European Union and its ministers, represent countries in eastern as well as western Europe. They agreed recommendations including the encouragement of manufacturers to fight counterfeiting by designing fake-proof packaging, and to alert public authorities as soon as they are aware that a product has been copied.
